The Ganesh Purana under Sanatan Dharma states that the swastika symbol is the form of Lord Ganesha, which has the power to remove all obstacles and obstacles.
In one of the Rigveda's verses, the swastika has also been considered a symbol of the Sun, while in the Amarkosh it has been considered a symbol of blessings, virtue, kshem and Mars.
Its mainly four arms are considered to be the symbol of four directions, four yugas, four Vedas, four varnas, four ashramas, four purusharthas, four faces of Brahmaji and four constellations including hands.
Swastika is considered welfare in Indian culture. Ganesha is considered to be the abode of the swastika, which means providing all round auspiciousness. It shows to be a demanding work.
Under Indian astrology, Swastika also has a very special importance in Vastushastra. This is the basic symbol of Vastu. Swastika is the auspicious sign to teach directions.

सनातन धर्म के अन्तर्गत गणेश पुराण में कहा गया है कि स्वस्तिक चिह्न भगवान गणेश का स्वरूप है, जिसमें सभी विघ्न-बाधाएं और अमंगल दूर करने की शक्ति है।

ऋग्वेद की एक ऋचा में स्वस्तिक को सूर्य का प्रतीक भी माना गया है, जबकि अमरकोश में इसे आशीर्वाद, पुण्य, क्षेम और मंगल का प्रतीक माना गया है।

इसकी मुख्यत: चारों भुजाएं चार दिशाओं, चार युगों, चार वेदों, चार वर्णों, चार आश्रमों, चार पुरुषार्थों, ब्रह्माजी के चार मुखों और हाथों समेत चार नक्षत्रों आदि की प्रतीक मानी जाती है।

भारतीय संस्कृति में स्वस्तिक को कल्याणकारी माना गया है। सर्वत्र यानी चतुर्दिक शुभता प्रदान करने वाले स्वस्तिक में गणेशजी का निवास माना जाता है। यह मांगलिक कार्य होने का परिचय देता है।

भारतीय ज्योतिष के अंतर्गत वास्तुशास्त्र में भी स्वस्तिक का अति विशेष महत्व है। यह वास्तु का मूल चिह्न् है। स्वस्तिक दिशाओं का ज्ञान करवाने वाला शुभ चिह्न है।

विवाह लग्न में चंद्रमा जहां स्थित हो,वह सूर्य से युक्त हो तो दारिद्र्य,मङ्गल से युक्त हो तो मरण,बुध से युक्त हो तो शुभ ,गुरु से युक्त हो तो सौख्य,शुक्र से युक्त चन्द्रमा से शत्रुता , शनि से युक्त होने पर वैराग्य और पाप द्वय युक्त होने से मृत्युप्रद होता है ! इसी प्रकार से राहु युक्त चन्द्रमा से भी अशुभ फल मिलता है !
