उत्तरायण सूर्य चन्द्रमा की स्थिति में उत्तर-पूर्व दिशा की यात्रा शुभ होती है !
दक्षिणायन सूर्य चन्द्रमा की स्थिति में पश्चिम-दक्षिण की यात्रा शुभ होती है !
केवल सूर्य चन्द्रमा दोनों के भिन्न अयन हों तो जिस अयन में उत्तर या दक्षिण सूर्य हों उस दिशा की यात्रा दिन में करनी चाहिए !
इसी प्रकार उत्तर या दक्षिण अयन में चन्द्रमा हो उत्तर या दक्षिण दिशा की यात्रा रात्रि में करनी चाहिए !
इस प्रकार के विधान से उत्तर दक्षिण दो ही दिशाओं की यात्रा होती है ! पूर्व या पश्चिम दिशाओं की यात्रा का समावेश नहीं है !
सूर्य चन्द्रमा के भिन्न अयनों की पृथक -पृथक अयन गत स्थितियों से सूर्य के उत्तरायण में उत्तर -पूर्व,दक्षिणायन में दक्षिण -पश्चिम यात्रा दिन में करनी चाहिए !
चन्द्रमा की उत्तरायण या दक्षिणायन की स्थितियों वश उत्तर -पूर्व या दक्षिण -पश्चिम की यात्रा रात्रि में करनी चाहिए ! उसके विपरीत की यात्रा मरण सूचक होती है !
