गण्ड मूल को शास्त्रों में गण्डान्त की संज्ञा प्रदान की गई है। यह एक संस्कृत भाषा का शब्द है, गण्ड का अर्थ निकृष्ट से है एवं तिथि लग्न व नक्षत्र का कुछ भाग गण्डान्त कहलाता है। अतः तिथि, नक्षत्र एवं लग्न गण्डान्त माने गए हैं।
१- तिथि गण्डान्त - १-६-११ {नन्दा}तिथियों के आदि की एक घड़ी और ५-१०-१५ {पूर्णा}तिथियों के अन्त की एक घड़ी गण्डान्त होती है ,वह शुभ कार्यों में वर्जित है ,इस तरह तिथि गण्ड दो घड़ी हैं ! - मातृ पक्ष के लिए अशुभ -
२- नक्षत्र गण्डान्त - ज्येष्ठा,श्लेषा और रेवती के अन्त की दो घड़ियाँ ,मूल,मघा और अश्विनी के आदि की दो घड़ियाँ इस तरह चार घड़ियाँ नक्षत्र गण्डान्त के अंतर्गत आती हैं ! - पितृ पक्ष के लिए अशुभ -
३- लग्न गण्डान्त - मीन-वृश्चिक और कर्क लग्नों के अन्त की आधी घड़ी , मेष-धनु और सिंह के आदि की आधी घड़ी वर्जित है !- जातक के लिए अशुभ -
दिन का गण्डान्त पिता का,रात का गण्डान्त माता का और दोनों संध्याओं का गण्डान्त जातक का नाश करता है !
अगर दिन के समय में जातिका का जन्म हो और रात में जातक का जन्म हो तो उन दोनों को गण्ड दोष नहीं लगता,जैसे पर्वत-पर्वत को नहीं नाश करता !
अगर ११ में चन्द्रमा अथवा केन्द्र में शुभ ग्रह हो तो गण्डान्त दोष नहीं लगता है !
अगर चन्द्रमा बली हो तो तिथि गण्डान्त का दोष नहीं लगता,यदि गुरु बलवान हो तो लग्न गण्डान्त का दोष नहीं लगता है !
गण्डान्त दोष नाश के लिए शान्ति - तिथि गण्डान्त हो तो बैल दान ,नक्षत्र गण्डान्त हो तो गो दान ,लग्न गण्डान्त हो तो सुवर्ण दान करना चाहिए !
जातक-जातिका के जन्म से बारहवें दिन,जन्म नक्षत्र के दिन या अन्य शुभ दिनों में शान्ति करनी चाहिए !
अश्वनी-मघा और मूल की पहली तीन घड़ियों में दिन या रात जिस किसी समय जन्म हो तो क्रम से पिता का,स्वयं के शरीर का और माता का नाश करता है !
रेवती-अश्वनी,पुष्य,आश्लेषा,मघा,चित्रा,मृगशिरा और मूल नक्षत्रों में उत्पन्न जातक का गोप्रसव करना चाहिए !
रेवती आदि गण्डान्त में उत्पन्न बालक के माता,पिता और बड़े भाई को अशुभ होता है ! तीनों तरह के गण्डान्त में उत्पन्न जातक सर्वनाश करता है !
जिस कन्या का जन्म मूल नक्षत्र में हो वह श्वसुर को मारती है !जिस कन्या का आश्लेषा नक्षत्र में जन्म हो वह सास का नाश करती है ! जिस कन्या का विशाखा नक्षत्र में जन्म हो वह देवर का नाश करती है !जिस कन्या का ज्येष्ठा नक्षत्र में जन्म हो वह अपने पति के बड़े भाई का नाश करती है !
अगर मूल नक्षत्र के प्रथम चरण में बालक का जन्म हो पिता का नाश करता है !
मूल के दूसरे चरण में जन्म हो तो माता का एवं तीसरे चरण में जन्म हो तो धन का नाश और चतुर्थ चरण में जन्म हो तो शुभ होता है !
आश्लेषा में इसका विपरीत फल होता है - प्रथम चरण में शुभ ,द्वितीय चरण में धन नाश,तृतीय चरण में माता का नाश ,चतुर्थ चरण में पिता का नाश !
मूल नक्षत्र में कन्या का जन्म - माता - पिता का नाश नहीं करती,किन्तु सास -ससुर का नाश करती है !
ज्येष्ठा नक्षत्र के अन्त की एक घड़ी ,मूल नक्षत्र के आदि की दो घड़ियाँ अथवा संधि की चार घड़ियाँ अभूक्त मूल कहलाती हैं !
आश्लेषा के दोष ९ महीने पर्यंत ,मूल के दोष ८ वर्ष पर्यंत , ज्येष्ठा का दोष १५ महीने पर्यंत रहता है ,तब तक जातक -जातिका का मुख नहीं देखना चाहिए !
ज्येष्ठा के अंतिम चरण में उत्पन्न पुत्र पिता का नाश करता है और स्वयं भी नष्ट होता है !
आश्लेषा का प्रथम चरण,मूल का अन्तिम चरण और ज्येष्ठा का प्रथम - ये तीन चरण शुभ होते हैं !
ज्येष्ठा नक्षत्र में उत्पन्न पुरुष अपनी स्त्री के बड़े भाई या बहन का नाश करता है !
विशाखा में उत्पन्न जातक साली या साले का नाश करता है !

1- Date Ganad - A clock of the beginning of 1-7-11 dates and the end of the 5-10-15 dates is a Ganadant, it is forbidden in auspicious works, thus giving the date Gand Watch - Inauspicious for maternal side -
2- Nakshatra Gandant - Two clocks of the end of Jyestha, Shlesha and Revathi, two clocks of Mooli, Magha and Ashwini etc. In this way, four clocks fall under the constellation Nakshatra! - Inauspicious for Pitru Paksha -
3- Lagna Gandant - Half-clock of Pisces-Scorpio and Cancer ascendant, half-clock of Aries-Sagittarius and Leo etc. are forbidden! - Inauspicious for the native -
The Republic of the day destroys the father's, the night's Republic of Mother and the evening of the two evenings destroy the native!
If Jatika is born in the day time and Jataka is born at night, then both of them do not feel guilt, like does not destroy the mountain!
If there is an auspicious planet in the moon or center in 11, then Gandant Dosh is not found!
If the moon is strong then the date does not seem to be the fault of the Republic, if the Guru is strong, then there is no fault of the Lagna Republic.
Peace for destroying Gandhian Dosh - If date is Ganat, then donate bull, if constellation is Ganat, then if you are goant, then you should donate gold.
There should be peace on the twelfth day of the birth of the Jataka-Jatika, on the birth constellation day or other auspicious days!
In the first three clocks of Ashwani-Magha and Mool, at any time of day or night, if born, it destroys the father's own body and the mother's!
The Jataka born in Revati-Ashwani, Pushya, Ashlesha, Magha, Chitra, Mrigashira and Mool Nakshatras should be performed!
The mother, father and elder brother of a child born in Revathi etc. are inauspicious! The native born in all three types of gandha destroys the apocalypse!
